Baby Nursery in progress

With the arrival of our baby girl in a couple months, I have been anticipating putting together a nursery for her. I thought I would share our current Baby Nursery in Progress. I painted the room we will use as the nursery the last year when I was painting my sons room and I love the color so much I am keeping it. Here is how my son's room turned out with the color. It is Repose Gray by Sherwin Williams.
With my walls painted and ready to go I have been able to do the fun part of planning how I will decorate. First off...the crib bedding. There's a little history here. When we were first married (before kids) I ran across this bedding set that I fell in love with. Yes, I wasn't pregnant or was even trying at the time, but I saw this bedding and it just reminded me of something my Grandma would have made. I had to have it! My husband thought I was a little crazy, who buys a baby girl bedding set before you even have kids?  Well, long story short...I didn't buy it. However, it went on clearance and my hubby bought it for me as a surprise.
I was thrilled and tucked it away in hopes of using it one day.
Obviously when were expecting our first child and found out we were having a boy, we got all excited and bought the cutest little boy crib bedding set and this girl bedding set was just put it away in the closet and forgot about. A few years later my sister was expecting a daughter and I pulled it out to offer to her. She was able to use it with both her girls and just passed it back to me in pristine condition. Ah, I still love it and finally 10 years later I get to use it! I love the soft colors and the flowers embroidered on the border are so beautiful.
Next in the planning was windows. With the room facing East, black out shades are a must. I made my the striped curtains for my son's room and I had hoped to sew some for this room too, but with all that is going on with my pregnancy and having to take it easy that's just not going to happen. Luckily, I ran across the exact curtains I had hoped to make and a bonus they are blackout panels as well! Aren't they gorgeous?
Next up, I splurged on this lilac rug from rugs usa when they were having their 75% Independence Day sale. I got such a great deal I couldn't pass it up!
I decided that I wanted a new crib skirt instead of the one that came in my bedding set so I bought this ruffled skirt that will perfectly coordinate with the curtains. Love it.
Next off, I decided to go all out and buy a new light fixture. I had admired this light on a trip to Ikea last year with my sisters and decided just to go for it!
Now, the only thing I need is a dresser and I am thinking I will just go with something simple like this one.

I have everything but the dresser (and glider) and I cannot wait to put it all together for a big reveal to show you. We're so excited for our baby girl! The only sad thing is I loved our son's bedding so much, it would have been fun to reuse that too!
