What I'm Lovin' {1/25/13}
1. Les Misérables Soundtrack!!!- I am lovin' this music right now. Just so beautiful! I went and saw the movie and loved it...(although it had a couple parts I could have done without seeing so much detail.)
2. Extra Fruit Sensations Sweet Watermelon Gum- This gum is such a lifesaver. Seriously it is the only reason I am able to curb my snacking. For some reason my body just likes to eat...lol, but this has become my favorite little item to keep with me and has kept me on track and kept un-needed food out of my mouth.
3. Yankee Doodle- Okay, maybe only Yankee Doodle when my 6 year old son plays it on the piano. I am just loving that he is so good about practicing his piano and I love to hear him play. Especially real songs that I can sing along with...(he hates that. :)
5. Almay Oil-free Eye Makeup Remover Pads-So far these are my favorite eye makeup remover wipes I have ever tried. They are oil free so you don't get that nasty oily goopy residue that stings your eyes. For so long, I have just used my face wash to wash my eye area and then when I dry with a towel to wipe the area. For one, it didn't get my eye makeup all off...and 2-it is not good to scrub or pull at the sensitive skin around your eyes! Can you say wrinkles? So I have been using these to get my makeup off in a gentle way. They work great!
I would love to know "what you're loving", so if you want to share leave a comment!

My New Mirror
One of my favorite things to incorporate into my home decor is mirrors.
I refinished both these mirrors, for a tutorial on the bottom one click here!
I love mirrors and they do such a great job of reflecting light and making my home look bright and airy. It also give the effect that the room is bigger than it actually is which is always a plus! I got this round glass mirror last week with plans to hang it in my master bedroom. When I brought it in I set it in the kitchen propped up (which still isn't decorated...lol) and left it until had time to carry it upstairs. Every time I walked in the kitchen, the mirror just totally caught my eye and after mulling it over a week I decided to hang it in the kitchen instead. I really, really love it!
It reflects the light and just makes the room look brighter and classier. One of my biggest obstacles when I hang things like this mirror or my pallet wood art (tutorial here) is how to hang it properly since it is so heavy.
I tend to hang a lot of heavy stuff and finding the right way to hang it is essential. Like this huge photograph of mine I had professionally framed to put over our fireplace. I am always concerned about making sure my art is protected and not going to fall off the wall or damage my walls.
I was recently contacted by a company that specializes in art hanging systems, AS Hanging, and had to share. They have great options for hanging different things with several different systems. Definitely a company you should check out. I love the contempo track rail system they offer and am thinking I will use this for a gallery wall upstairs! Not to mention I am helping my husband update his business office and these hanging systems will help me out so much to keep things safely hung and professional.
For my smaller lightweight wall decor I like to use command strips. They make life easy and don't damage your walls!
I used them for my gallery wall and a few other things here and there like this sign in my sons room. They work great.

What I'm Lovin'
It's friday and here's what I'm lovin!
#1. Downton Abby- I know at this point it just seems lame to like this show because it is so popular, but I loved the first 2 seasons and I finally sat down and started on season 3. And I'm totally loving it too. Downton Abbey: Complete Seasons 1 & 2 (6 Discs)
#2. The Body Shop Coconut Milk Body Lotion-This coconut milk lotion is my favorite. I know, I know,...its winter and coconut is not exactly a winter scent...but I don't care. This lotion reminds me of the beach and yummy coconut tanning lotion smells. Its like a "calgon take me away" type moment in freezing windy Wyoming. :) Plus, I love the way it moisturizes my skin.
The Body Shop Coconut Milk Body Lotion, 8.4-Fluid Ounce
#3. I am lovin' this right now...even though I shouldn't be. Total diet ruin-er. Texas Sheet Cake...need I say more? Recipe coming up next week!

#4. Benefit Cosmetics stay don't stray- Eyeshadow primer. I love this stuff! I have been using it for over a year (the same container even!) and it really is awesome. I use an all-over face primer, but I also use this specifically for shadow and liner. I love it and my eyeshadow stays on all day and hardly ever creases!
#5. Mod Podge - Need I say more? This stuff is a crafty person's best friend. I just got a new bottle this week. I prefer the matte version for most projects.
#6. My Nikon. Its well loved and almost 5 years old. I am overdo for an upgrade but my d90 has been my trusty companion and is still going strong. I use it daily and am so grateful for it. I had saved so long for it and it was well worth it. A good camera is a great investment!

Valentine Wreath {DIY}
I wanted a pop of color for my shutters and while browsing hobby lobby I found the most perfect roses. They are full, a beautiful shade of red, and are made of a velvety material which makes them look a little more real. They were the most expensive single stem roses they had but well worth it. (just hit the 50% week!)
First pop the roses off the stem but be sure to keep them attached to the bottom green bud part otherwise they will fall apart.
This is what happens if you don't get the green stem bud part...
Next, grab you hot glue gun and start gluing them into the wood wreath base.
And that its. Super cute!
